The Secret of getting ahead is getting started

At Nirmaan, we are always thinking of ways to encourage and inspire our students. This time was no different. During the past few days, our team started with the production of skincare products and we were able to make our first sales in Nirmaan during the Parent Teacher meeting held in our school. We displayed our products on a stall at the reception where it was easy for people walking by to stop and ask questions about them. We had some pamphlets available that answered any questions that people might have had about them or about Nirmaan itself. We wanted to make sure that our skincare products were as natural as possible, so we made rose water and beetroot lip balm. We used real rose petals from our garden to make the liquid base for the product. This was our first time selling anything like this—we were really excited about it!   We were able to sell entire stock of Rose water bottles and lip balms during the parent teachers' meeting! Everyone seemed very happy with the...

Great things in Business are never done by one person, they're done by a team

In the last few months, we've had the pleasure of interviewing several new candidates for our team. We were searching for members from classes 9th through 11th. We are happy to say that our efforts have paid off! We've selected some top-notch students who are ready to get started on their journey at Nirmaan. The interview process was quite an enlightening experience for all of us, and it was incredibly fruitful, as many students expressed their desire to join us. We had a lot of people asking questions about the purpose of Nirmaan and what we do, but we could see that they all wanted to join us. We had more than 180 candidates come through the interview process, and after careful deliberation, we selected only 100 candidates who received an opportunity to join Nirmaan Enterprise. Last but not least, I would like to congratulate all the new members who made it through their interview!

Social Enterprise Challenge

Social Enterprise Challenge 2021 was the biggest milestone for all of us as it was a huge success. Our teachers and students together helped to make this online event a lively experience. It not only helped in motivating the students to focus and excel in their ardent passions but the revenue generated was satisfactory as well.

The Talent Hunt

When the world came to a standstill we tried to bring some joy through various online events. One such was a Talent hunt which had various categories like  dance, music and drama. Respective Judges were assigned to all the activities and they are as following: DRAMATICS : Dev Soni and Pallavi Mehta  DANCE : Saiyam Jain and Palak Arora  MUSIC : Sachmeet Kalsi and Jayanti  The best performers were shortlisted in the last round and all the winners along with the participants were awarded certificates to stimulate their enthusiasm.

"A RIVER CUTS THROUGH A ROCK, NOT BECAUSE OF ITS POWER BUT BECAUSE OF ITS PERSISTENCE"

The last 2 years were very formidable for us due to the pandemic, but it didn’t stop us from working towards our mission. We endeavoured by organizing online brainstorming sessions which were held on Microsoft teams. We decided to conduct a  Talent Hunt Rendezvous which consisted of 3 categories: dance, music and dramatics. It also had a cheap entry fee of 100 rupees which were further donated. This wouldn’t have been possible without the help and encouragement of other schools and we are glad to say that it was a triumphant victory for St.Mark’s.

The Team

We the team of NIRMAAN Enterprise from St.  Mark's Sr.  Sec.  Public  School, Meera Bagh, New Delhi are participating in gold level this year. We became a part of this dignified Enterprise in 2010 . This Enterprise deals with the ladies of unprivileged section who are employed to make different products. The products are then sold and a considerable share of profit is given to the ladies while some is kept to buy the raw materials. We have made various products such as bags, envelopes, chocolates, etc. In the last 7 golden years NIRMAAN has grown in leaps and bounds. Last year's team.  New team.

The Selection

The students interested in joining NIRMAAN go through a preliminary written round and then an interview round. The selected students, according to their preferences, choose the department they would like to be a part of and are allowed to be a member of  more than one department. This helps them to perform better as they work in their own field of interest and as per their talent.                       Few pictures of the meetings held:
